Seventh Lisbon Architecture Triennale

Fluxes: Guided tour with Ana Simões and Davide Scarso

18 Oct - 14:30 · [Youngsters and adults]

The Fluxes exhibition explores the flows of materials, energy, and information that sustain humanity, forming one of the three axes of How heavy is a city?, the 7th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale. The curatorial team, Territorial Agency (Ann-Sofi Rönnskog and John Palmesino), approaches the subject as a research project on the complex transformations of the city on a planetary scale. The guided tours offer an opportunity to engage with diverse narratives that interpret the theme.

Ana Simões (Full Professor, FCUL) and Davide Scarso (Assistant Professor, FCT–UNL), both researchers and members of the CIUHCT – Interuniversity Centre for the History of Science and Technology, explore in the exhibition the concepts of the Anthropocene - as a new geological stratum - and the Technosphere - as one of the elements of the complex planetary system.
