Seventh Lisbon Architecture Triennale

Fluxes: Open lecture with Prof. Stefanos Antoniadis, FA.ULisboa

03 Dec - 15:00 · [Students and general public]

In partnership with the Architecture degree at the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon (FA.ULisboa), the Triennale is organising a series of three open lectures. Each lecture is dedicated to one of the central exhibitions of 'How Heavy is a City?'. Each session will be led by a lecturer whose field of research relates directly to the respective theme.

Stefanos Antoniadis, architect and lecturer whose research focuses on territorial dynamics, infrastructure and urban networks, brings an analytical perspective on how invisible systems influence the morphology and functioning of cities. His research on the interaction between architecture, landscape and infrastructure systems is directly linked to the theme of Fluxes. This session addresses the flows — material, energy, logistical and digital — that structure the contemporary city.

Topics:
Relationship between nature and artifice
Re-signification and circular economy
Urban infrastructure and resource flow
