Independent Projects at the Palace: Guided tour

The Sinel de Cordes Palace hosts an exhibition of a series of Independent Projects that are an integral part of the Triennale programme. Selected from an open call, these projects enrich the issues raised by this edition and explore the themes under discussion in the fields of art, science and architecture.

- Civic Grid: Explores the move towards electrification and clean energy, questioning how these technologies will shape the fabric of urban life.
- The Weight of Clean: Questions the apparatus of air filtration and reflects on the unequal accessibility of this technology on a global scale.
- 09.ED.15 REDUX: Explores the processes of transforming asbestos into harmless by-products with a negative carbon impact.
- The Sixth Sphere: Explores projects that question the spatial, environmental and material expressions of the technosphere, and the imagination of fairer planetary futures.
- The Technate: Visits data centres, cable ships and large technology companies, delving into the infrastructure of the web, meeting pioneers, natives, users and, finally, the Technocracy Inc. archive.
- Roadside Picnic: Explores the shadow of unfinished nuclear power plants that remains on the landscape and in the future of those who once believed in them.
- Flags of Kitembo: Explore the cultural weight of cities shaped by the African diaspora.
