Pinhole Photography Workshop - The City Inside a Box

19 Oct - 11:00 · [Children 6+, youngsters and adults]

In this workshop, we invite families to explore the essential and universal device found in every camera – the camera obscura – through which they will observe the surrounding space, creating and framing immaterial and ephemeral images. From this observation, participants will go on to create images of their surroundings using pinhole cameras (a simple box with a tiny hole that allows light to enter and form an image inside), captured on instant film (Polaroid). These types of cameras, which lack a viewfinder, enhance the most important aspect of photography – the creation of imagination.
