Seventh Lisbon Architecture Triennale

Workshop - Imaginable City with Locals Approach

13 Nov - 18:30 · [Students]

The Triennale is adapting a game designed to facilitate participatory urban design processes for the context of Lisbon. This 'deck of cards', called Imaginable City, is a glossary of urban design for Lisbon. It is being developed through crowdsourcing and meetings at the Sinel de Cordes Palace. During the meetings, we test the Roleplay game, talk to invited individuals and groups, discuss how to approach the topic ‘How Heavy is a City?’ in the context of this glossary, peer review the cards that are being adapted, and build a prototype. Sessions led by José Martins and Leonor Calhau.

The 9th session will be a conversation with Locals Approach - Gonçalo Folgado, João Martins e Inês Veiga -  that promotes and facilitates actions within the scope of participatory projects. The collective developed a game to guide urban design processes that they will present to us, which is a good example of how a game like Imaginable City can help in participatory processes with various communities;

Roleplay session of the game: Fórum Urbano - Manual de Desenvolvimento Local.
