The Petrified Museum is a research-creation by Lighthouse Company, rooted in the vast archives of the British Geological Survey, where hundreds of thousands of geological specimens have been collected since 1835. By merging geological inquiry with theatrical creation, it unfolds through three experiences: an exhibition open to all, a laboratory for workshops, and a performance for young audiences. Visitors wander through a museum eroded by time, where fossils and artworks blur into one another, challenging our ability to distinguish culture from nature and inviting new ways of sensing the deep entanglement of human and earth histories.
