Spectres, an exhibition at MUDE — Design Museum, explores how colonialism, power, and extraction shape the way we see and imagine our built environment.
This is one of three central exhibitions of How Heavy Is a City?, the 7th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, alongside Fluxes, at MAAT — Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, and Lighter, at MAC/CCB — Museum of Contemporary Art and Architecture Centre. Much like scientific experiments that explore new concepts, these three 'thought exhibitions' bring together various architectural, cultural, scientific and artistic approaches to generate new ideas. The Triennale 2025 also includes a selection of Independent Projects in various locations around the city; Talk, Talk, Talk, three days of conferences at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (29—31 October); dozens of activities and a publication that expands on the ongoing research.
