Seventh Lisbon Architecture Triennale

The carbon footprint is transforming building evaluation, integrating life cycle analysis into decision-making. It highlights architectural massing differences: 1 kg of polystyrene equals 6.68 kg eqCO₂, while 1 kg of adobe equals 0.02 kg eqCO₂. This shift requires mastering various calculation modes, making environmental assessment tools essential for construction, challenging traditional notions of lightness and heaviness.
